About the Book

These are 8 short stories, each with a surprise ending, or revelation of a crime, and stories of ancient ghostly mysteries, and famous, dashing criminal characters in the days of piracy. In one of the stories, the police find two hats and a picnic basket on a meadow in front of a famous castle in Devon; how they got there is the story. Another story tells the tale of a little girl who died over two hundred years ago, and whose little ghost still haunts a big, old plantation house. The stories are set in  a variety of locales.
